Welcome to GoCar Malta. By booking a car or using our website gocarmalta.com, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.

1. General Terms

GoCar Malta provides car hire services across Malta and Gozo. All rentals are subject to availability and compliance with the conditions outlined below. By confirming your booking, you enter a legally binding rental agreement with GoCar Malta.

2. Booking and Confirmation

All reservations must be made through our official website or approved partners.
A valid driver’s license and ID/passport are required at pickup.
Minimum driver’s age is 21 years, with at least one year of driving experience.
Bookings are confirmed once you receive an email confirmation from GoCar Malta.
We reserve the right to cancel or modify bookings in exceptional cases (e.g., vehicle unavailability).

3. Payments and Deposit

We proudly offer No Deposit and No Credit Card rentals for eligible vehicles.
Payments can be made via debit card, cash, or other approved methods.
All prices include VAT, basic insurance, and 24/7 roadside assistance.
Fuel is not included – vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup.

4. Insurance and Coverage

All GoCar Malta rentals include basic insurance coverage. Additional protection (e.g., full insurance, tire and glass coverage) may be offered at extra cost.

Insurance does not cover:

Damage caused by negligence, reckless driving, or driving under the influence
Loss of keys, documents, or personal belongings
Damage to tires, interior, or undercarriage not caused by an accident

5. Vehicle Pickup and Return

Cars can be picked up at Malta International Airport, hotels, or local branches upon request.
Vehicles must be returned at the agreed time and location stated in the contract.
Late returns may incur additional daily charges.
The renter is responsible for any traffic fines, parking violations, or tolls incurred during the rental period.

6. Fuel Policy

All vehicles are supplied with a specific fuel level. Please return the car with the same amount of fuel to avoid refueling fees. We recommend refueling at trusted petrol stations near your return location.

7. Cancellations and Refunds

Free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before pickup.
If canceled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, a one-day rental fee may apply.
No-shows or early returns are non-refundable.

8. Driver Requirements

All drivers must present:

A valid driver’s license (international license may be required for non-EU citizens)
A valid ID card or passport
Rental confirmation (digital or printed)

Additional drivers can be added to the contract for a small daily fee.

9. Use of Vehicle

The vehicle must be used only within the Maltese islands (Malta and Gozo). Taking the car outside the country is strictly prohibited without written consent from GoCar Malta.

The renter agrees to:

Use the vehicle responsibly and in accordance with traffic laws
Not allow unauthorized persons to drive
Not use the vehicle for racing, towing, or illegal activities

10. Liability

GoCar Malta is not responsible for delays, cancellations, or losses caused by circumstances beyond our control (e.g., traffic, weather, or third-party actions). The renter assumes full responsibility for the vehicle during the rental period.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We comply fully with GDPR and ensure all information is stored securely and used only for legitimate business purposes.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Malta. Any disputes arising from the use of our services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Maltese courts.
